We'll look at it and see, but if his code is jacked, I doubt making changes to this mod to accommodate is expected.
 

Ozzy47 I'm was running 1.8, however Andy had a look and thought he had resolved the issue with 1.9 last night, but it didn't.
No edited files at all.

More then welcome to log onto my site and activate/deactivate social groups and see it that way if it helps.

All add-on's have been installed for 12 months when I upgraded to XF2, except Xencarta 2 wiki which was installed 4 months ago, Shoutbox 1 week ago and Social Groups installed yesterday
 
Could you try disabling all addons except Andy’s and the group addon and see if the error still happens? You could try registering an account yourself rather than waiting on someone else to do it.

Is it safe to disable the Private Threads add-on?
 
All disabled except Private Threads, Welcome Thread and Social Groups.
Created a new user, a thread wasn't created by the welcome thread add-on. Normally every 10 minutes the error appears, so will post back shortly if it does.

Along with a welcome thread for the user that registered a week ago. Seems to keep creating welcome threads for this same user.

This could be the key and the one that's throwing the error.

Could you check your xf_user database table for that user using PHPMYADMIN?

The check Andy's xf_andy_welcome_thread table for that same user?

More then happy to check.
I did have a look for andy last night. Made sure he had an entry in xf_user and also xf_andy_welcome_thread
