I am dependent on PHP 8. Is there any other way to check? The issue is definitely caused by this add-on.

Not till I go through the addon and make it PHP 8 compatible.

So when I select the "icon" option for the badge, nothing shows up next to the users name. What's the purpose of the "icon" option? I'm new to all this forum crap btw so be easy on me.....

That's probably in phrases. I'm not familiar enough with this add-on to be of much help but Ozzy will be along at some point.
