what does this option do?

Use sessions for email verification before registration
 
I installed this addon but it seems to have an issue. When I first installed it I tested it by creating a new account. I got the varification email with the code but when I tried to activate the code it told me I must enter a valid code. Thinking I did something wrong I tried again and this time it worked. I thought it was just a one time issue but I have had 2 reports of the code saying it was incorrect when it was copied directly or the button was pressed. Something seems to be wrong but I don't know where to start looking.

For clarification I have the same issue as post number 24
 
And I am still looking for some kind of assistance to fix the issue. I keep getting emails that the verification code isn't working. Eventually this will present a poor look to new members. Telling them to try again and it should work... We are working on the fix is only going to work so long.

Do you have any addons installed that affect the registration process?
Please send a list of your addons to me in PM and clarify your XF version

I disabled the addon a few days after I sent the message because I didn't have time to look at it anymore. I did not know you replied.
I just enabled it again.

The XF Version is V2.2.16 just updated last week. The previous version when I posted this was V2.2.15

This is the template modification.

I have no addons that modify the registration process other than this one. I will send that list in a PM.

Can't reproduce such a problem with the latest version
The problem may be caused by enabled "Use sessions for email verification before registration" option, which associates the code with the user's session (which changes if the user switches to another browser or private mode/deletes cookies/web server resets the session store)

Try disabling it and check if it works
 
Update after a month all good. No more complaints.
Thanks I really like this product. On our old vBulletin software the users awaiting email response group was always a mess.
